Being Thankful

We have gone through a lot these past few years. With the unemployment rate increasing to 7.9% in October 2012 (tradingeconomics.com), people's homes being foreclosed on, the hurricane that hit the east not to long ago and devastated many lives, and now with the bankruptcy of Hostess. We all sit and wonder "What are we thankful for." There are so many things to appreciate and be grateful about. We are alive and live in a country where we have the freedom to vote and express our opinions freely without any repercussions. Some of us have child and an amazing husband. Many attend church and are grateful for fellow believers. "Gratitude has been linked to increase levels of happiness and life satisfaction. Giving thanks is one of the most powerful ways there is to increase your well being." daringtolivefully.com/gratitude-quotes Lets all rise and begin to appreciate everyone that is around us and everything we have. These are some gratitude(daringtolivefully.com/gratitude-quotes except for Bible verse) quotes to help remind all of us of the many things we should be grateful for.

“At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.” — Albert Schweitzer

“He is a wise man who does not grieve for the things which he has not, but rejoices for those which he has.” — Epictetus

“You simply will not be the same person two months from now after consciously giving thanks each day for the abundance that exists in your life. And you will have set in motion an ancient spiritual law: the more you have and are grateful for, the more will be given you.” — Sarah Ban Breathnach

“Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.” — William Arthur Ward

17. “Thou that has given so much to me,
Give one thing more–a grateful heart;
Not thankful when it pleaseth me,
As if thy blessings had spare days;
But such a heart, whose pulse may be
Thy praise.”
– George Herbert
In every way and everywhere we accept this with all gratitude.
