Bible Matthew Prayer

 Matthew 18:19 Matthew 18:18-20

Jesus teaches us to pray together in dialogue prayer in order to release God's power to bind evil and release good. Dialogue prayer is simply conversational prayer, two people praying back and forth. The audible words are necessary for agreement and for giving love. This prayer-power requires the presence of our risen Lord and our cooperation in audible prayer. This changes us and the situations for which we pray.

We abandon cliches and use short childlike sentences that are honest, specific and personal. In a nutshell:pray to Jesus, our risen Lord, from the child in your heart. This enables the child we each keep silent in our hearts to pray with others and together find love, freedom and joy.

Here are four subjects to guide you: 1) Jesus is here(worship). 2)Thank you Lord (for gifts given:spiritual, physical, material, for people and for the good earth). 3) Forgive me, Lord (confession, using "I" not "we"). 4)n Help my sister/brother (intercession).

Experience has taught us that first worship, and then thanksgiving, open our hearts and mouths. Confession, the third point, is necessary because without it, we do not easily receive the Spirit's guidance for intercession.

Here's an example of confession:"Lord, help us to love others more than we do." But when urged to be personal, honest and specific, the woman's confession becomes:"Lord, help me to love that person I work with."

This then leads into the prayer partner's intercession, when she can pray, "Lord, you promised forgiveness when we confess (1John 1:9). Now show her what next she should do in her life, " or similar comforting words blended with thanksgiving.

In this way we share one another's  joys and burdens and become living members of our risen Lord, who teaches us to love one another as he loves us.

Heart Light

Lord Jesus, that you remind us that we are required to love everyone just like you love. That we all are blessed with pray partners that will hold as accountable and pray with us and for us diligently. That you unite your body and rise us to be the might warriors that we are ask to be. That you show us our sin and helps us to become more like you. Jesus' name I pray Amen.

What is Laminin????

My husband is a psychiatric nurse and works at a local hospital. A few years ago, he was chit chatting with a patient's son. The man is a Christian and lived in California at the time. Well, in one of his visits to see his mother, he gave my husband a DVD titled "Our Awesome God by Louie Giglio." In the DVD, Louie Giglio mentioned this molecule that we all have called Laminin. Laminin is the protein that holds human beings together.

I had never heard of this molecule and I was not the only one. I took the DVD to church and lent it to the pastor's wife, an elder, and some friends. No one had heard of this molecule. So I did some research and confirmed what was mentioned on the DVD.

It is pretty amazing how great God is. The picture below, is what the molecule would look like. Please look at its shape. Do you notice it is a cross? How amazing is God....Jesus Christ. This is the full DVD on You Tube.

Couple's Devotional By James Dobson

Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:8
The young husband was desperate. His wife had abandoned him and their 2 children weeks before. Though she still called occasionally, he had no idea where she was. On the phone, he pleaded with her to come home and told her how much he and the children loved her, yet she continually rebuffed him. Was it time to give up and move on? No. The husband used his meager savings to hire a detective, who found his wife living in a third-rate hotel across country. The husband borrowed money for a plane ticket. Soon he was on her doorstep saying, "We love you so much. Won't you come home?" She fell apart in his arms, and they went home together. Weeks later he asked why she hadn't come when he expressed his love repeatedly on the phone. "Because, she answered,"those were only words before. But the you came." True love is more then words. It may involve flying across the country, even when it costs you your last nickel, to bring your spouse home.
1) How have I shown you my love this week?

2) If "actions speak louder than words,"are my deeds shouting or whispering my love for you?

3) What can I do this week to show my love for you?

4) How, specifically, did Jesus show us His love?

Dear Lord Jesus, we wnat both our words and our actions to say "love" in personal, powerful, and positive ways. Show us new ways to "honor one another above ourselves." Amen

Married Couple's Devotional

Book Night Light By Dr. James & Shirley Dobson
Love at First Sight Love is of God 1 John 4:7

Some people believe that true love can occur the moment a man a woman lay eyes on each other. But "love at first sight" is a physical and emotional impossibility because you cannot love someone you don't even know. You have simply been drawn to the package in which they live.
A lifelong emotional attachment is much ,more than a romantic feeling. It is more then a sexual attraction or the thrill of the chase or a desire to get married. Such feelings usually indicate infatuation and tend to be temporary and rather selfish in nature. A person may say, "I can't believe what is happening to me. This is the most fantastic thing I've ever experienced! I must be in love." Notice that those who make these statements are not talking about the other person-they're excited about their own gratification. Such individuals haven't fallen in love with someone else; they've fallen in love with love.
Genuine love is not something one "falls" into, as though he or she was tumbling into a ditch. One cannot love an unknown object, regardless of how beautiful or handsome it is. Only when a person begins to develop a deep appreciation and admiration for another-an intense awareness of his or her needs, strength, and character-has one begun to experience true love. From there, it should grow for a lifetime.

Questions
1) Do you remember thinking that you were in love as a teenager, only to have that feeling fade over time?
2) What did you think and feel when we first met?
3) How did God show you that I should be your marriage partner?

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the wonderful gift of love. Grant us your blessings, Father-more than we can even imagine right now! Amen.
