Are We in America????????

Common Core

Please help me understand something. Do we (Americans) live in a country were we have the freedom to voice our opinions and concerns (respectfully) without any repercussions? The answer would be yes...right? Well, apparently for those that disagree with Common Core, we are not allowed to express our concerns. A distressed  father by the name of Robert Small expresses his concerns in a public forum about Common Core. He is pushed by an officer, pulled out of the meeting, and arrested. Mr. Small was charged with 2nd degree assault of a police office. Please view this video and help me to see when Mr. Small placed his hands on the officer. Please visit this link Baltimore Sun News to see the entire article and the video.

Common Core Standard

Common Core Standard

There is so much controversy about Common Core. Some believe that it will improve education and help students learn while assisting teachers and parents in understanding what they need to do to help the child. "The standards are designed to be robust and relevant to the real world, reflecting the knowledge and skills that our young people need for success in college and careers. With American students fully prepared for the future, our communities will be best positioned to compete successfully in the global economy" Common Core Standards.  Others believe it is a form of socialism. Taking control away from the districts and states and handing the power over to the government. For starters, lets take a look at what socialism is:
1
: any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods
2
a : a system of society or group living in which there is no private property
b : a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state
3
: a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done Webster

This video from one of Glenn Beck's shows will give you an understanding of what we are in for. The government will start not only to indoctrinate our children but also collect data without our permission. It has already been done in Polk County, Florida Our current president is wanting to turn our country into a socialist nation.

These are the states (click on link) that have adopted the Common Core Standards.

I have provided the following links for your reading. Regardless if we agree in this issue or not, the point is to be informed and make a decision based on your own research and not allow government to blind - side you.

Please inform yourself. Do not rely solely on my information. This is serious and we need to take a stand. Our freedom is in jeopardy. Our children's privacy and education is at risk. In 1961, Fidel Castro targeted young boys to brain wash them into accepting communism.
